Widdington Walk

Seasonal mist and fog threatened to greet many of us for the first of our Autumn walks but held off today. Twenty walkers met at the historic Fleur De Lys public house in Widdington located in the heart of the village since 1729. Our leader Gill gave a brief talk on the history of the village before setting off with John as back marker for a five and a half mile walk. Sunshine finally broke through lighting up the landscape in its autumnal glory, with even some roe deer seeming to pause to admire it, as we made our way through fields and woods before returning to pretty and characterful Widdington.
