Wandlebury Walk

After the recent heat waves, it was a very welcome cooler morning as 16 members met at Wandlebury Country Park.  Denis, our leader today followed a path around the edge of the Park and on to the Roman road. We headed back into the country park for our refreshment break where we watched the action on the golf course and enjoyed the view towards Ely cathedral. We then walked around the Wandlebury Ring and finished our walk by the Stable Block. Most of us then stayed to enjoy a picnic with cakes provided by Carolyn and Jacqui and drinks brought by the Club that Annette and David had kindly organised. Suitably refreshed and energised we played Boules and Ringtoss in the afternoon sunshine. Many thanks to Denis and Claire, our back marker today for organising our walk.
