I would like to thank Ian and Gill for leading today’s walk. We had a guest walker join us – Wendy. In total 38 attended.
The first part of the walk took us to the Orwell Clunch Pit. This is a 4.4 acre biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Then we followed the Mare Way in to the Wimpole estate and tracked southwards to Home Farm and the wood-yard. Finally, we walked through Cobbs Wood – this is where we spotted a charcoal burner.
