Hail Weston Walk

Mud glorious mud was on the agenda for our 27 walkers today. Mike informed us about the Royal Oak public house. This was a place for the Lord of Hail Weston to collect rents and even hosted inquests. Hail Weston had its own malthouse. The church is a grade 2 listed building. Its tower is constructed from timber which is most unusual in this area.
