A very hot day!  I wish to thank Eddie and Pauline for leading today’s walk.

Peter gave us a short talk about the history of the village.  In 1265 a castle was constructed near the 12th century church. The castle / fortress was built of wood and was the was the largest in Cambridgeshire at the time.  It was used as an administration centre for collecting taxes.
