Weston Walk

Easter Sunday our walk started from the village of Weston. We had 13 members join us.
Peter took us on a 5.5 mile ramble with grand views of the Hertfordshire countryside. Weston has a legend of a giant man named Jack O’Legs, he was a common thief who lived in Baldock. In 1728 he was caught red handed stealing bread from a bakery. He was sentenced to death by hanging. His dying wish was to fire an arrow from his bow and where it landed that was where he would be buried. The arrow landed in the Holy Trinity Church Weston.
