Hildersham Walk

Another fine sunny day for our 6-mile circular walk. We welcomed Rosemary as a guest walker – in total 31 attended. Our leaders were Terry and Jenny. Jenny informed us about various buildings that we passed,  i.e. The Work House in Linton which was built in 1836 and the Rivey Hill Water Tower built in 1935-6. We then made our way on to the Roman Road, this runs from Colchester to Cambridge. We had our picnic lunch in Hildersham where we all enjoyed delicious cakes made by Gill and John N. (They were so tasty Peter had 6 slices !!!). Tea was provided by Denis.
