Today 26 members attended the walk which was led by Mary and Sally. Mary gave us a brief history of the Chequers public house. In February 1660 Samual Pepys stayed there. On our way back from the Nature Reserve we visited the Fowlmere Airfield Museum. We all admired the many artefacts, memorabilia and photos that have been contributed by the veterans and their families.
