Eltisley Walk

There was a chill in the wind and overcast skies as 24 members met at The Eltisley Public House. Maggie gave us a short talk on the history of Eltisley mentioning that an episode of The Prisoner was filmed in the village featuring many locals at the time. Ken then led us out for our walk. We headed towards Caxton taking our coffee break at St Andrew’s church where some of us enjoyed a look around the inside. We then turned back towards Eltisley passing the 14 lime trees planted in remembrance of the 14 men from the village who died during the First World War. Thanks to Ken and Maggie.
