Comberton Ramblers enjoyed a 5.5 mile walk from Reed, Herts. 20 members attended. Reed sits close to the Prime Meridian line. This area was designated as a conservation area in 1974. En route we walked to the village of Barkway. There is a picture of our chair Peter informing us about the Wagon Wash circa 1600 AD in the gallery. This is a modern version of the car wash !!
After our picnic lunch were invited to tea at the village hall. It was a delightful end to the walk, 4 of us accepted the invitation. We also took part in the musical quiz with a 3-piece band.
