St Neots Walk

21 of our members enjoyed a 5 mile walk from St Neots.  Visha and Achla did a splendid job in leading the group as it was their first time – well done.  We were all amazed to be informed that in 1895 the St Neots Spa opened. In 1735 Joseph Eayre bought a bell foundry in St Neots. Some of the bells still hang in churches in Huntingdonshire. The town of St Neots has experienced a building boom with almost 3,000 new homes built at Loves Farm. At the end of the walk we sat by the river for our picnic lunch and enjoyed the delicious cakes.
